Mónika Hinz’s ″Around the world″ exhibition was opened on 26th September 2018 at the Gyöngyösi Károly Róbert Campus of the Eszterházy Károly University.

The programme started with a performance of three Laotian students: Siripaphanh Narathip, Khanphet Thidathip and Vongsangduane Vithayaphone sang a song called „Cups". This was followed by the performance of the artist, Mónika Hinz, who had spectacular BMX stunts.

After the opening, Zsuzsanna Pál, Head of the Library and Dr. Zoltán Bujdosó, Vice-Rector for Campus affairs welcomed the audience and gave credit to Mónika.

As a special family heritage, Mónika Hinz first met photography as a child since her mother and her grandfather made her get acquainted with photos and images. She began pursuing professional photography in Germany where she attended courses and even taught photography for students. Her photos were published in a German therapy book and in French, Indian and Hungarian journals. She has always had two passions: BMX and photography which are inseparable from each other. During her photography sessions BMX was always a vital element. Mónika is a three times BMX world champion.

She began her BMX career in California, USA where she took her first photos. This was followed by a trip in Japan and Lapland, Finland, the home of aurora borealis in 2013. She visited India in 2014 and 2017 where she took marvellous photos. Of course she had her BMX as well with which she rode all over the country.

Her exhibition includes these photos which is open until 1st November 2018. Mónika's pieces can be found on her Facebook page called HIMo Pic.
