Food tasting, singing and dance performances. The foreign students of the campuses of Gyöngyös and Eger could celebrated their different cultures at the Global Cooking Night. This program has a long tradition in the county seat, but this year was the first time that the event was hosted at the Gyöngyös campus.

The imaginary gastro world tour started a few years ago in Eger. In the begining foreign students studying in Hungary, cooked in the dormitory for each other. They wanted to show the specialties of their nation. This initiative soon grew. Today the Global Cooking Night is one of the biggest events of Eszterházy Károly University.

This year the Károly Róbert Campus organized this event for the first time. The students studying in Gyöngyös represented almost 40 different countries and at the food presentation we tasted the cuisine of 12 different nations. Some of them prepared only dessert, other nations also cooked main courses and made side dishes.
